Write to or ring your elected representatives—they need to know (from everyone who cares) just what the ABC means—see addresses below.

Join the Friends of the ABC.

Write letters or email to the Chairman of the ABC Board, Mr Maurice Newman AC, to remind him that public broadcasting is important to Australians, who are the Corporation’s shareholders. Or simply stay aware and make others aware by:

talking to your family, friends and neighbours about what the ABC means to you
emailing this web address (http://www.fabcact.org) to family and friends interstate
watching the newspapers and following the fate of our public broadcaster.

We suggest that if you write to Bob McMullan (if you are in the ACT) or Mike Kelly (if you are in Eden Monaro), then also copy your letter to Senator Conroy and the PM. If you write to an Coalition member, then copy your letter to Bruce Billson and Brendan Nelson.
